I met Ruth at work in California. After she moved back to Michigan, she met and married Jim. Over the next several years, my husband and I got together with Jim and Ruth several times. Each visit was fun and it was as though time stood still. We took off where we left off from our last visit. We are sorry Jim & Ruth had to go through such a difficult time, but they had family and friends who came along side of them. Many prayers and acts of kindness helped to make this journey tolerable. Bless the Nelson family and all who helped walked Jim home … to Heaven.

Art and I will miss Jim. We spent many happy family celebrations with Jim and Ruth. We both remember him as a kind, gentle, and friendly man. We are grateful for his friendship.
Art has a special appreciation of Jim – when Kathryne and Jason were married, Jim went out of his way to make him feel part of the family. We will always remember him, and that is why we gifted memorial trees to underscore this. Deidre and Art
I remember a sunset cruise on White Lake with Jim & family in his power boat...the one and only time I was ever on White Lake.
Relaxing and uneventful (safely).
Jim was a quiet, unassuming and thoughtful man. I was blessed to have him for a brother in law for 48 years.
