James A. "Jim" Reece's Obituary
James A. “Jim” Reece, age 70, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017. He was born on January 29, 1947 to William and Barbara (Murphy) Reece in Midland, MI. Prior to Jim’s illness he was active at Port City Church and had retired in 2012 after 43 years in retail management. Jim coached baseball and softball for his children’s teams, was an avid woodworker, enjoyed motorcycles, reading, and fishing, and was a lifelong Michigan State fan. Go Green! On December 23, 1981, he married Mary Drozal and she survives him along with his 4 children, Kristi Sayler, Kim (Jeff) Faas, Jessi Reece, and Josh Reece; grandchildren, Cameron and Avery Sayler, Ben and Joey Faas, and one grandson on the way; brothers, Bob (Jill) Reece and Dave (Fran) Reece along with several nephews and cousins. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be Tuesday from 5PM to 7PM at the funeral home. MEMORIALS can be directed to Little Red House or North Ottawa Hospice.
