James A. Robinson's Obituary
James A. Robinson, age 85, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born on October 25, 1934 to Emmett and Mildred (Hardy) Robinson in Pierson, MI. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. James was a dedicated employee at Roadway Express where he worked in management for 36 years before retiring in 1996. On September 29, 1962 he married the love of his life Ellen Taylor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 58 years of memories filled with love and laughter. James enjoyed spending his free time testing his luck at the casino, but he particularly loved riding the casino bus to Manistee. Above all things, he loved his family and spending time with them. Jim will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Robinson; 3 children, Laura Deuling, John Robinson, and Nancy (Scott) Robinson Carvey; and 8 grandchildren, Adam (Shannon) Deuling, Benjamin Deuling, Samuel Deuling, Jacqueline Smith, Joshua Smith, Shannon Carvey, and Kayla Carvey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett G. Robinson and Mildred Hoffman. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444. Memorial contributions in James’ honor can be made direct to Harbor Hospice or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
