Mr. James Everett Thomas' Obituary
James Everett Thomas, age 74, was born in Robbins, NC on February 6, 1946 to the late Winfred Cheek and Gerushia Thomas. He passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020. James was affectionally called by those who knew him as Fred and his North Carolina family as Dick. He graduated from Pinkney High School. After graduation he traveled to Michigan in 1971 with cousins Gurney and Calvin Brower. He met his wife, Donna Crawford and was married in 1973. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church of God and Christ and had been employed at Paul’s Carwash, CWC Textron as well as retiring from Eagle Ottawa Leather. He was the oldest son of his Mom’s 13 children and his Dad’s 9 children. He was preceded in death by his 3 sisters, Helen Marie Brooks, Monica Wrencher Boston and Geneva Brower. He leaves 4 sons to cherish his memories, John (April) Davett, James Everett-Crawford, JerDonn (Shaundrea) Frederic and Jared FreDonn; and his wife of 46 years, Donna Crawford Thomas. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Johnny Wrencher, Barbara (Ben) Harris, Charles (Teresa) Wrencher Jr, Conrad (Kyndall) Wrencher, Clifton Wrencher, Denise Kyle, Teresa Ross, Jackie Brown, Ken Wrencher, Austialia Clay, Bessie Eubanks, Bertha Mark, Theressa Jordan, Timmy Cheek, Jerry Cheek, Carlton Cheek and Jessie Cheek; 7 grandchildren, Darius, DaeShawn, Darrell and Damon Lampkin, Jermiah Foster Thomas, John Darvett Jr and Kanya Grider. James will be sorely missed many cousins, nieces and nephews, which include Sara Longmire, Calvin Brower and Gurney Brower.
