Mr. James Alan Tokarczyk's Obituary
Mr. James Alan Tokarczyk, age 50, passed away very unexpectedly Monday, October 1, 2012, at his home. Jimmy was born April 12, 1962 in Muskegon to Joseph and Adeline (Welc) Tokarczyk. On May 5, 1990, Jimmy married the former Jeanne Marie Porter and she survives him. He was employed by Tokarczyk Service for nearly 35 years and had also worked at Miller Engineering for more than 10 years. Jimmy always kept busy collecting, restoring and customizing cars and trucks. He also did some wonderful custom painted Z50 Mini Trails. Jimmy enjoyed buying and selling antiques, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife of 22 years, Jeanne, he is survived by his sons, Jason and Justin Tokarczyk; father, Joseph Tokarczyk of Roosevelt Park; mother-in-law, Jan R. Wood of Norton Shores; father-in law, Jay (Becky) Porter of Lebanon, TN; brothers, Joey Tokarczyk of Norton Shores and Frank (Mirelda) Tokarczyk of N. Muskegon; sisters, Michelle (Juan Mendez) Tokarczyk and Vicki (John) Belasco, all of Norton Shores; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Kathy; and step father-in-law, Dr. “Woody” Wood. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 10:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2012 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565, with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz officiating. VISITATION will be Thursday from 5-8 PM with the ROSARY being prayed at 5PM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Jason and Justin’s College Fund.
