James R. Winskas' Obituary
James R. Winskas, SR. age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1938, to Andrew Winskas and Myrtle Henry in Chicago, IL. James proudly served his country in the United States Army from December of 1961 until December 1963. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles and the American Legion. James was a huge Chicago bears fan and would catch every game. He loved shooting guns, fishing, playing poker and the slots at the casino, walking through Meijer, watching black and white movies, and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his children, Veronica King, James Winskas (Kim Nadjkovic), Chris (Jerry) Roof, John (Tricia) Winskas, Joe Winskas, Jeff (Toni) Winskas, Bob Winskas, Myrtle (Jereamy) Reed, Jessica Winskas, Brooke (Elmo) Wright, Amanda Fairris; 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather who raised him, Edwin Manowski; spouses, Muriel Smith, Linda Fett; and three siblings. A VISITATION for James will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
