James Franklin Young's Obituary
Mr. James Franklin “Jimmy” Young, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Muskegon on Monday, December 4, 2023. Jimmy was born in Muskegon on February 12, 1963 to James Gilbert and Joan Marie (Fazakerley) Young. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, boating, detailing cars, and walking in the woods. Jimmy showed patience with the neighborhood children who all loved him. He spent years of unwavering dedication to work despite his health complications. Jimmy is survived by his father and step mother, James G. (Buck) and Jackie Young; sisters, Rochelle (Ward) Van Dam, Debra (Dale) Dykema, Laurie (Jerry) Boyer; stepsisters Lavonne (Jim) Almond, Sheryl (Steve) Carlisle, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving: his fiancee Linda Rousell and her children and grandchildren who referred to him as “Papa Jim”. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Young. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church (4861 Henry St., Norton Shores, MI 49441).
