James A. Blehm's Obituary
Mr. James A. Blehm, age 60, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, September 7, 2011 at his home. He was born May 4, 1951 in Pontiac, MI to Herbert and Anna (Stien) Blehm, and lived in the Coopersville area for several years. Jim worked for General Motors for 31 years before retiring. He was an avid woodworker, was a great fix-it man, loved the ourdoors, and he was always on the go. On July 17, 2009 he married Joyce A. DeGlopper, and she survives him along with 4 children, Michael Blehm, Marsha Marier, Renee “Brat” (Andy) Homrich of Nunica, Valerie “Vail” Blehm of Fruitport; lovingly named “Guy” by his grandchildren: Jake, Brandyn, and Logan; 1 step-son, Roger Donley; 4 brothers, Fred (Sandy), Emil (LouAnn), Carl (Pam), David (Marty); 2 sisters, Margaret (David), June; several nieces and nephews; Renee and Valerie’s mom, Connie Satterlee. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. SERVICES will be 10:00 AM Monday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Judy Scholten officiating. Burial will take place at Kent Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids. VISITATION at the funeral home will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday.
