James Allen "Coop" Cooper, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Allen “Coop” Cooper, Sr., age 58, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on December 26, 1952 to John David and Mary (Ostradick) Cooper II and lived in the area his entire life. He worked many years as a carpenter for area businesses, including Lappo Lumber and Haworth. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Jim (Kim) Cooper, Brian Cooper, Jamie (Steve Mitchell) Cooper, and Amber Cooper all of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren, Brenden, Kelsey, Jay, Jerra, Breanna, Brittany, Rylee, Brekelle, Jordyn, Jonah, Jacoby; 2 sisters, Carol (Ron) Pieczynski and Jackie Cooper both of Muskegon; and 1 brother, John Cooper III of Fruitport. He was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Jennifer Allen and 1 grandson, Derek Allen, Jr.; and by his parents. A TIME OF REMEMBRANCE will be held 5-8 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100.
