Mr. James Charles “Jimmy” Barnes, Jr., age 57, died Saturday morning, April 2, 2005. He was born July 19, 1947 in Troy, TN to James C. and Edith (Revel) Barnes, Sr. Mr. Barnes worked for Muskegon County for 20 years before retiring. SURVIVORS include his wife, Charlene; 6 children, Darin Kane, Michelle Genter, Kim Barnes, Michael Barnes, James C. Barnes, III, Dustin Barnes; 2 step-children, Jeff Gorkisch, Justin Gray; 13 grandchildren; and 4 brothers, Tom (Sandy) Barnes, Ron (Barb) Barnes, Jerry (Valerie) Barnes, Ken (Chris) Barnes. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Oak-Crest Church of God (1540 Leonard St.) with Rev. Robert D. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Twin Lake Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be appreciated.
