James H. Workman's Obituary
Mr. James H. Workman, age 70, passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009 at his home. He was born November 17, 1938 to Thomas J. and Geneva (Solman) Workman in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Mr. Workman worked for Western-Southern Life Insurance for 32 years before retiring, was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Hope Reformed Church. He had been active with the Old Newsboys, and loved to fish – especially at Drummond Island. On December 9, 1961 he married Marianne Haussler, and she survives him along with 2 sons, Stephan Workman of Muskegon, Tim (Deb) Workman of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer (fiancé Shaun Kissling), and Kristina Workman; 1 sister, Joan (Ed) Stelle of Townsend, GA; 1 brother, Tom (June) Workman of St. Simons Island, GA; many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 28, at Hope Reformed Church, with Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. A time of gathering with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
