James "Jim" Edward Bloom's Obituary
Mr. James “Jim” Edward Bloom, age 68, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home. He was born April 30, 1943 in Berrien Springs, MI to John and Lenora (Edgell) Bloom and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at Campbell, Wyant & Cannon Foundry for 8 years and retired in 2002 from Sappi Fine Paper after 22 years. On April 7, 1972, he married the former Sharon Beth Horton in Muskegon and she survives him. Jim was an avid Notre Dame Football Fan and Red Wings Fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and snowmobiling. Jim coached football and basketball and owned 3 vintage Corvettes. Spending time with his beloved family was always Jim’s first priority. He will be greatly missed. Along with his wife, Sharon, he is survived by 2 children, Brian (Donna Puff) Bloom of Twin Lake, Shannon (Bill) Louk of Wixom, MI; 5 grandchildren, Madison and Lauren Bloom, Bre Louk, Brittney O’Shinski and Spencer Puff; and his companion Golden Retriever, “Buddy”. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bill and Bud, and 3 sisters, Rosemary, Bonnie and Barb. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street (231) 798-1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating.
