James L. Traxler, Jr.'s Obituary
James Leroy Traxler, Jr., age 29, passed away due to accidental injuries after celebrating his mother’s 50th birthday. He was born July 2, 1974 in Muskegon to James L. and Laura (Singer) Traxler, Sr. and had been a life resident. James was a 1993 Ravenna High School graduate and was employed by DBA-Birch Construction Co. He loved to work on and race cars, racing at tracks such as Winston Motor Speedway, Thunderbird Raceway, Crystal Raceway, Michigan Speedway, Mid-Michigan Motor Speedway, Ionia Raceway, and Butler Raceway. James enjoyed competing in the races, driving car #21. Racing was his life. SURVIVORS include his special friend, Janet Decker; his son, the joy of his life, Mason James Traxler; daughter, Danielle Schoonmaker of Kent City; father, James L. (Jean Livingston) Traxler, Sr. of Brooksville, FL; mother, Laura Traxler of Spring Lake; brothers, Fredrick (Mandy) Traxler, Andrew Traxler both of Spring Lake, Brandon Traxler of N. Muskegon; grandparents, Earl Traxler, Sr. of Muskegon, Ann (Harry) Phillips of Whitehall; step-mother, Lori Traxler; nephew, Kaiden Traxler; favorite uncle, John Singer; special friends, Dean, Tammy, Josh, and Rachel Guiles, Dick, Nancy, and Nate Grenell, the Neiser family, the Grega family, and “Decker”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Dolores Singer. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at
