James M. Leutscher's Obituary
Mr. James M. Leutscher, age 90, went to be with his Lord Thursday evening, July 3, 2008 in Muskegon, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 7, 1917 in Muskegon, MI, and lived all of his life in the Muskegon area. He worked as a press operator for Dana Printing, retiring in 1980, and was a member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church. He was a former member of East Muskegon Christian Reformed Church. Mr. Leutscher had been very active with the Banquet Committee at Western Michigan Christian High School, was an election worker, and was also involved with the Sheldon Neighborhood Association. On September 24, 1940 he married Ella Wyngarden in Reeman. Mr. Leutscher’s family includes his wife Ella; 5 children, Allen Dean Leutscher (deceased) Kenneth (Alana) Leutscher of Muskegon, Louise (Bud, deceased) Slager of Fremont, Dean (Kathy) Leutscher of Grand Rapids, Rita (Brad) King of Hart; 7 grandchildren, Jeff (Mary) Leutscher, Chad (Corey) Leutscher, Hilary (Josh) Hysell, Jason Slager, Crystal (Larry) Zandvliet, Holly King, Bradley King; 8 great-grandchildren, Josh, Katie, and Toby Leutscher, Arden and Emma Hysell, Jennifer Slager, Seth Zandvliet, Noah King. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Frens; 2 brothers, Louis and Art Leutscher. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION at
