James R. Hanson's Obituary
Mr. James R. Hanson, age 78, went to his heavenly home Monday afternoon, February 7, 2005. Jim was born November 21, 1926 to Harry and Helen (Silvis) Hanson in Muskegon. Jim worked for Certified Concrete for 40 years and then was a driver for Holtrop Concrete for 5 years prior to retiring on January 1, 1990. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. On June 2, 1945 he married Emma Jane Nulf in Fruitport, MI and she survives him along with 7 children; Jacqueline (Harry) Booker, Barbara Ryan, James (Carol) Hanson, Linda (Roger) Middleton, Lois (Haley) Hanson, Thomas (Lori) Hanson and Susan (Armando) Hanson; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Joan Dion; and several nieces, nephews and special friends, Kay, Linda & Karen. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Home 737 Apple Avenue 231-726-5210 with Pastor David Tabler officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana would be appreciated.
