Jamie L. Westcomb's Obituary
Jamie L. Westcomb, age 50, met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1971 to James and Bonnie (Karnitz) Pendell in Fort Wayne, IN. Soon after, Michigan became home for Jamie and her family. She was a graduate of Fruitport High School, Class of 1990. Jamie, dedicated nearly 32 years, working as an assistant manager at Walgreens. On January 29, 2005, she married the love of her life, Damian Westcomb, after being engaged for three weeks. Together they cherished 17 years full of nonstop love, laughter and adventures. She had a servant’s heart and was a woman of faith, attending St. Luke Lutheran Church. In her earlier years, she helped others in her community get involved in young adult bible studies at Lakeshore Fellowship. To this day, many still thank her for getting them involved with a church family. Jamie was also a skilled baker and chef, who enjoyed dipping her fingers into new recipes. She was an excellent baker, and her homemade bread was divine. She also loved being outdoors either camping or flourishing her garden and herbs. Jamie also had a love for turtles and cheering on her Chicago Cubs! She had a real passion for photography and had the ability to capture a moment in time for others to cherish for years to come. Jamie had an infectious personality and loved entertaining guests. Her infamous fall parties and hayrides were some of her most favorite times. Above all, she had an unconditional love for her friends and family. Jamie was a caring and loving spirit whose radiant smile could light up a room. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Damian Westcomb; parents, Jim and Bonnie Pendell; daughter, Koral Pendell; stepchildren, Blake Westcomb and Megan (Cam) Westcomb-Roche; one grandchild, due in September; three brothers, Kurt (Randy) Pendell, Joel (Anna) Pendell and Jonandru (Jenny) Pendell; four sisters, Christina Pendell, Brynda (Keith) Jenkins, Katie (Matt) Sytsma and Beth (Josh) Pendell; in-laws, Butch (Carol) Westcomb; sister-in-law, Kimberly (Matt) Baldwin; brother-in-law, Wade (Dawn) Westcomb; and numerous dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Arron Westcomb in 1996. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 17122 2nd St., Nunica, MI 49448. A visitation with the family will be held from 7-9 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
