Jane A. Alderson's Obituary
Mrs. Jane Arlene Alderson, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 with her family by her side at her home. She was born on February 17, 1940 in Muskegon to Benjamin and Alta (Shull) Stroud. On Sept 2, 1961, Jane married the love of her life, Robert M. Alderson in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2020. Jane was a longtime faithful member of Blue Lake Community Church. Jane was a caring and sweet nurse at Brookhaven Nursing Home for 10 years prior to retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, playing dominos, reading, and being with her canine companion, Opie. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family and friends. Jane was always willing to try new and different things, especially with her grandchildren. Jane will be missed by her children, Vonda Alderson, Bob (Karen) Alderson, Brian Alderson, and Kim (Chris) Pankau; four grandchildren, Nathan Alderson, Chris (Lauren) Alderson, Aubrie Pankau, and Colton Pankau; three great-grandchildren, Trinidy, Alania, and Layla Alderson; siblings, Ben (Lorna) Stroud, Roger (Mary) Stroud, Betty Stroud, and Fran Rostar; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with her husband, Bob, Jane was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Don Stroud, Al (Marva) Stroud, Diana (Tom) Spencer, JW Alderson and George Rostar. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 31 at Blue Lake Community Church, 10981 Blue Lake Rd., Holton, MI 49425. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at church. Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Harbor Hospice Foundation in Jane’s memory would be appreciated.
