Jane Lynne Lund's Obituary
Jane Lynne Lund, age 70, passed away peacefully in her home while in the embrace of her loving husband and surrounded by her brother and her three children after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 2, 1954 to Vernon and Arlene (Schuitema) Meeuwenberg. Jane is survived by her husband, John D. Lund Jr.; children, Melissa (Joe) Johnston, Michelle (Bruce) Strom, and Johnny (Shua) Lund; grandchildren, Carter, Isabel, Ty, Isaiah, Ellie, Oliver, and Sophie; brother, Scott (Peggy) Meeuwenberg; sister-in-law, Katharine (JC)Schrock; and brother-in-law, David (Stacey) Lund.
Married to John for over 38 years, Jane was, and will always be, the love of his life. Simply put, Jane was a woman that literally radiated beauty and light. Always a joy to be around, Jane's happy, beaming smile and fun-loving spirit infected everyone who knew her. Most of all, Jane had a genuinely kind and caring soul, always among the first to reach out to others in their times of need with her special blend of love and support.
The family is planning a celebration of her life later this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her name to the two organizations that were close to her heart: The Alzheimer’s Association or to Ovarian Cancer Research.
