Jane Marie Seelye's Obituary
Jane Marie Seelye, age 75, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at the Poppen House of Harbor Hospice. Jane was born on March 16th, 1950, in Muskegon, MI to Russell and Gertrude (Kern) VanBrocklin. Jane was a graduate of the Mona Shores High School Class of 1968. On January 31st, 1970, Jane married Earl Raymond Seelye in Muskegon, at Light of Hope Chapel and both attended there for many years. Jane worked for nearly 20 years as a production worker and then supervisor for RAM Electronics, Inc. before retiring in 2010. Jane and Earl most recently attended Beacon Light Community Church. Jane was an avid crafter and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and plastic canvas, to name a few. Jane also loved watching movies, solving puzzles and was an avid reader. Jane had a love for Christian music – especially the old hymns and Christmas music. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Earl Seelye; 2 sons: John (Melissa) Seelye and Steven (Melissa) Seelye; 9 grandchildren: Taylor, Jordan, Joshua, Douglas, Mileea, Emmalyn, Zachary, Jessica and Julia; 2 siblings: her twin brother, Gary VanBrocklin and her sister, Vicki Osburn; 4 brothers-in-law: Roy Seelye, Mark Rousell, Kenneth Killebrew and Bud Clark; and 4 sisters-in-law: Ethel (Kenneth) Killebrew, Barbara Hoeker, Ruth (Bud) Clark, and Jackie VanBrocklin. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Raymond, Dale and Keith; and 5 sisters: Janice, Avis, Vee, Kay, and Loa. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date at Egelston Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Beacon Light Community Church following the service. Beacon Light is located at 6031 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442.
