“MOTHER’S LOVE IS THE SANCTUARY OF GOD IN THIS WORLD”
Our beloved mother, Jane Ida Ella (Boltze) Beck, passed into Heaven, Sunday, May 22, 2011. Born September 26, 1917 to Frederick and Jennie (Gary) Boltze, the eldest of 11 children. A devout Catholic, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, painting and many hours playing Skip-Bo. She had a degree in accounting, a licensed realtor in Florida, Executor of St. Vincent DePaul Society and a volunteer for the Miss Michigan Scholarship program as Dorm Mother. Her greatest joy in life however, was the time spent with her children and their families. She leaves behind her children, Darlene M. (Herbert) Whelpley, Elizabeth J. (Wellington) Santos, Edgar W. (Eva) Mosley, Mary Ann Blease, Juanita M. (Ronald) Wisniewski, Joanne K. Kelly, Warren R. Mosley, Kathryn J. (Steve) Hayes, Deborah M. Hutchison, Bonnie (Gordon) Rollenhagen and Don (Rita) Beck; a son-in-law, Dr. Paul D'Amico, 29 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, George (Marylou) Boltze and Richard (Penny) Boltze; 1 sister, Dorothy (Lou) Bright. She was preceded in death by, Barbara D’Amico (daughter), Jesse J. Hayes (grandson) and Herbert Whelpley (grandson). The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Barnum as celebrant. VISITATION will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lee Chapel-Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St.,(231) 798-1100. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL contributions may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
