Jane M. Ruthkoski's Obituary
Mrs. Jane M. Ruthkoski, age 89, passed away Friday evening, October 8, 2010 in Muskegon. She was born September 10, 1921 in Sunrise, MN, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She worked for many years with her husband at the Arthur H. Ruthkoski, C.P.A. Firm, and previously worked at Anaconda. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, where she taught religious education, 1stCommunion classes, helped with funeral luncheons, and belonged to the ladies’ guild. On November 7, 1941 Jane married Arthur H. Ruthkoski who preceded her in death on May 20, 1987, as did her son David Miles Ruthkoski, who passed away on March 27, 1977. SURVIVORS include 1 brother, Elwood W. (Thelma) Johnson of Canadian Lakes, MI; 2 sisters, Bonnie F. Hurkens of CA, Linda L. (Pat) Apadaco of OR; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, John W. Johnson and 2 sisters, Betty I. VanderLeest and Donna H. Filinow. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening, with the Rosary prayed at 6 PM. You may sign the family’s on-line guest book at www.sytsemafh.com. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mrs. Ruthkoski may be made to Harbor Hospice, or Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
