Janet M. DeMarr's Obituary
Janet Marie (Smith) DeMarr, age 61, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 14, 1958 to Herbert and Grace (Gillette) Smith in Muskegon. Janet, better known as “Jay”. She loved more than anything spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed coloring, playing and collecting every keepsake they would gift her with, including but not limited to every rock, marble and color picture, over the years. Jay’s other interests include spending time with her children and family. She enjoyed everything and anything to do with family. Jay also enjoyed her lottery, scratch-off tickets and pull tabs, camping, races and Harley’s. She is survived by her children; daughter, Danyal Arleen; son, Gary Robert Jolman Jr(Rachel Sue); daughter, Samantha Ann Ostby (Tim); step-daughter, Stephany DeMarr; her grandchildren; Montanna Kay, Draven Scott, Phenix Grace, Kaegen Robert, Maggie Ann, Maddison Marie, Trevor James, Tyler Scott, Trent Lee, Tanner Allen, Ayden & Bryce. She was expecting her first great-grandson; Declan Xavier, due in September of 2019; her siblings: Carol A. Jolman (Gary), Sandy L. Hutson (Dave), Duane A. Smith (Karen), Paula J. Smith and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends, Joe, Linda & Tom, and many more. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herb & Grace Smith and brother, Doug Smith. A CELEBRATION OF JANET’S LIFE will take place on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Don Rea VFW Post #8846 (1061 Witham Rd.) from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
