Janet Kay Frantz's Obituary
Janet Kay Frantz, age 74, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1948 in Gaylord, MI. Janet graduated from Mona Shores High School class of 1967. She dedicated numerous years working as a physician’s assistant for Dr. Potter in Norton Shores. On August 2, 1995, she married the love of her life, Walter Frantz in Las Vegas, NV. Together they cherished 27 years full of love, laughter and banter. Janet had a passion for shopping, whether she was going from store to store or in the comfort of her home watching the shopping networks! She enjoyed making homemade jewelry and enjoying the outdoors bike riding. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature that was perfectly balanced with her ball of fire personality. She is survived by her husband, Walter Frantz; two daughters, Holly Piasecki and Shawna (Robert) Appleton; three step-children, Steven (Melissa) Frantz, Francine (Tim) Vanaelst and Kathy Smith; three grandchildren, Kylie Elwell, Morgan Appleton and Zoey Appleton; and sister, Carmen Vajda. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Kelley (Larry) Rottman. A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held in the springtime. Memorial Contributions in her honor can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
