Janet Irene Freye (Appel)'s Obituary
Janet Irene (Appel) Freye, passed away on July 26, 2016. Janet was born on April 20, 1954 to James and Marcella Appel. She was blessed with 2 sons, Jason and Nick. Janet worked at Howmet for many years and then later in life at Kohl’s. She loved her Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, cross-stitching and music. She was an outgoing, giving, friendly, organized person who will be deeply missed. Janet is survived by her 2 sons, Jason (Meghan) Freye and Nick (Kari) Freye; grandchildren, Blake, Sam and Drew; mother, Marcella Appel; brother, Gary (Maria) Appel; sister, Linda (Duane Brown) Appel; a niece, nephew, cousins, friends and her Kohl’s work family. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 at 4pm at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm and also on Friday 1 hour prior to the start of the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to the Johnson Cancer Center or The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
