Janet Suzanne Gibb's Obituary
Janet Suzanne Gibb, age 71, passed away at her home on September 30, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 3, 1945 in Demopolis, Alabama to Robert and Nell (Alvis) Russ. Janet worked as a para legal for 50 years before retiring in 2012. She loved watching her grandkids play sports, she loved to golf, and she loved her girls and vacationing with them. Janet also enjoyed a good glass of chardonnay and intense games of scrabble with her husband, Bob. On December 11, 1987, she married Robert Gibb, and he survives her along with two daughters, Bobbi (James) Cawley of Jackson, MI and their children, Rachelle, Mikel, Jaimi, and Jon Ashley; Kelli (Jon) Lund of Grand Haven and their children, Lauren, Cameron and Conner; step-children, Jessica (Adam) Bursma of Vermont and thier children, Elaina, Anders and Katje, and Bob (Kris) Gibb of Troy, MI and their children, Avery and Brody; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ginger (Dr. Danny) Miller of Macon, Georgia and Cindy Russ of Montgomery, AL. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Visitation for Janet will be Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven (620 Washington Ave. Grand Haven, MI 49417). Friends and family are then invited to a Celebration of Life at Seven Steps Up (116 S. Jackson St. Spring Lake, MI 49456) beginning at 3:00 PM in Janet’s memory.
