Mrs. Janet Ann Keur's Obituary
Mrs. Janet Ann Keur, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 2, 2018. Jan was born on June 5, 1937 in Muskegon to Harvey and Evelyn (Fitt) Lehman. A lifelong resident of the Muskegon area, Jan married the love of her life, Lawrence, on June 24, 1955. Larry and Jan were members of Fruitport Bethel Baptist, where she was involved with various ministries, before becoming members of Olivet Evangelical Free Church. Jan also worked as a teacher’s aide for Fruitport Community Schools. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and was known for her attention to detail. Jan was a travel enthusiast and visited numerous countries and states with Larry. Jan’s entire world was centered around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had the honor and pleasure of giving each grandchild their very first ice cream cone. Jan will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Larry; children, Michael (Marlene) Keur, Suzanne (Scott) Fowler and Robert (ElizaBeth) Keur; grandchildren, Kendra (Josh) Pratt, Kristi (Joe) Whalen, Steven (Joanne) Fowler, Ashleigh Fowler, Sarah (Ryan) Enck and Jonathan (Kathyrn) Keur; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Lilly and Alex, Jack, Amy and Sean, Joey and Alice and four great-grandchildren on the way; two sisters, Barbara (Gordan) Coates and Karen Vanderzwaag; and sister-in-law, Lucy (John) Hollenbeck. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Lehman. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 7, at 11AM at Olivet Evangelical Free Church (6790 S Harvey St., 49456). Visitation with the family will be on Friday, July 6 from 6-8PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100, and one hour prior to the service at church.
