Janet Klop's Obituary
Janet Kay Klop, age 64, of Fountain, MI (formerly of Spring Lake) passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Ludington. She was born April 20, 1941, to Percy and Clarice (Smith) Lewis in Muskegon, MI; and she married Stephen Klop on May 5, 1961 in Norton Shores at Hope Reformed Church.
Janet was formerly employed by Elastodyne for many years. She was a member of The Ferrysburg Community Church. Janet enjoyed garage sales, sewing and doing crafts.
Survivors include her husband Stephen Klop; 4 daughters, Christine (Nelson) Nienhuis, Karen Klop, Barbara Klop, and Michelle (Andy) Zalsman; 3 grandchildren, Nicole, Kelli, and Chad; 3 sisters, Irma (Clare) Frazine, Thelma Ortquist, and Dorothy (Louis) Kleyn; 4 brothers, Gerald Lewis, James (Marie) Lewis, Earl (Pat) Lewis, and Dale (Patty) Lewis; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Janet will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Lakeshore Cemetery, Grand Haven.
