Janet E. Lucksinger's Obituary
Janet E. Lucksinger, age 85, passed away on September 8, 2025, in Muskegon, MI, at the Poppen Residence. She was born on September 12, 1939, to Howard E. and Anne (Korby) Elkins in Detroit, MI. Janet worked for IBM and Henry Ford Hospital. After raising her family in Troy, MI, she moved to Venice, Florida, where she has lived for many years. Growing up with brothers who had an avid love for racing, Janet grew to love NASCAR as well. She also enjoyed sewing, fishing, spending time with her family, and listening to her favorite classic crooners of the 50s. SURVIVORS include her brother Ronald (Claire) Elkins, three children: Dawn Cooper, Carri (Greg) Hofmann, and Carl A. Lucksinger; grandchildren: Emily (Eddie) Ward, Cameron (Andrea) Brown, Peter Jubb, Keith (Allie) Jubb, Grant (Zoe) Jubb, and Joshua Gibson, and great-grandchildren: Elijah, Ezekiel, and Riley. Janet was also preceded in death by her husband Carl G. Lucksinger, her parents, two brothers, one sister, and son-in-law Dan Cooper. According to her wishes, anatomical donation has taken place.
