Janet Faye Planteroth's Obituary
Janet Faye Planteroth, age 70, of Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 27, 2017. She was born February 25, 1948, in Grand Rapids to Fay Elborne and Donna Jean (Vander Werf) Moore, and she married John Raymond Planteroth on March 14, 2008 in Holland, MI.
Janet was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven. She worked as the receptionist in the corporate offices for Lake Michigan Credit Union and Grand Bank and had also worked at Butterworth Hospital, in the on site daycare. She loved both her jobs. Janet loved powerboating, walking on the beach, gardening, sewing, and most of all, shopping for her grandchildren.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, John Planteroth of Spring Lake; son, Jon (Christy) Kloote of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Carlene Kloote and Penelope Kloote; her sister, Nancy Lauderman of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Kloote on November 12, 2001.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services – The VanZantwick Chapel with Rev. Jill VanderWal officiating. Friends may meet the family Sunday, March 4, from 1-4 p.m. at The VanZantwick Chapel. Memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital are appreciated.
