Janet L. Strieder's Obituary
Janet L. (Taylor) Strieder, age 78, passed Saturday, June 27, 2020 after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for numerous years. She was born on August 1, 1941 in Remus, MI to Leon and Esther (Long) Taylor. On November 9, 1963 she married Wayne A. Strieder. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2018. Together they cherished 54 years of marriage. She enjoyed babysitting and dog sitting for her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Anita (William) Zimmer; sisters, Marjorie Smith, Shirley (Dave) Plamondon and Charlene Foy; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Strieder, Barbara (Richard) Monhardt and Fran Hemond and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; daughter, Ann Marie Strieder; sisters, Doriss Shavalier and Deanna Steinberg and brothers, Lanny Taylor and Jim Taylor. A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. An outdoor visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Leila & Cyrus Poppen House.
