Janet K. Sykes' Obituary
Mrs. Janet Kathleen Sykes, age 65, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her home. She was born in Providence, RI on December 2, 1949 to August and Helen (Demeo) Ferreira. Janet was a loving mother and grandmother and took great joy in spending time with her family. On October 17, 1970, Janet married Roger A. Sykes and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1991. She is survived by four children, Melissa (Marc) Cline, Rick (Becky) Sykes, Kimberly Dusenbery and Kelly (Derek) Giorlando; 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Madison, Zachary, Connor, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Charlie, Brendan, Justin and Ethan. In addition to her husband, Janet was preceded in death by one son, Paul Sykes and her parents. VISITATION with Janet’s family will be from 3-6 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor John Brown officiating.
