Janet Lynn Duncan's Obituary
Janet Lynn Duncan, age 60, passed away Tuesday morning, April 5, 2011. She was born August 28, 1950 in Muskegon to Joseph and Florence (Galat) Hotwagner and had spent the previous 5 years in Grand Haven. Janet worked in the banking industry for 30 years before retiring in 1996 and had fond memories of her time at Muskegon Federal Savings. She was a member St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven and in her earlier years was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and sailing. On April 9, 1983 she married Kenneth L. Duncan in Muskegon and he survives her along with 2 daughters, Jodie (Robert) Heng of Walnut Creek, CA, Stacy (Rick) Rewa of Dorr, MI; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Florence Gerencer of Muskegon; 3 brothers, Bill Hotwagner of Muskegon, Joe (Carol) Hotwagner of Saugatuck, MI, Tom Hotwagner of Denver, CO; step-brother, Steve (Marge) Gerencer; 2 step-sisters, Denise (Bill) McDermott and Anita (Rick) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph and brother, Michael. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated 1:30 PM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Norm Droski presiding. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service Saturday. MEMORIALS to Hospice of North Ottawa will be appreciated.
