Janet M. Chandler's Obituary
Mrs. Janet M. Rollins Chandler, age 69 passed away, Monday, March 14, 2011 at her home. She was born June 13, 1941 in Muskegon to James Donald and Dorothy (Crain) Carden. Janet worked for over 25 years for the Department of Social Services in Ottawa County before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Fruitport Eagles #3666 and VFW Post #446. Janet loved to cook, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Camille Lynn (Mike Robison) Mitchell of Muskegon, Carmen Lynn (Todd) Flickinger of Fruitport, Candace Lynn Saya of Ludington, and Clinton “Skip” Rollins of Fruitport; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Angela (David) Ross, Jennifer Owens, Julie Wilcoxson, Amanda (Anthony) Genta, Heather Saya and C.J and Emily Rollins; 14 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters yet to be born; sisters, Jeanette (Bob) Foster and Nancy Deephouse both of North Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Elmer Swanstrom; and many other close friends from Fruitport Eagles. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Earl Clinton Rollins III; parents; and husband, George Chandler in April of 2008. The FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2PM Friday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to Harbor Hospice or Cystic Fibrosis will be appreciated.
