Janet Ruth Beyer Sheffer's Obituary
Mrs. Janet Ruth Beyer Sheffer, age 83, passed away February 24, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born on March 6, 1921 to Dudley and Anna (Profit) Smith in Mancelona, MI, and had lived the past 30 years in Mason County. She loved to cook, knit, crochet and garden. Mrs. Beyer had worked as a machinist for American Coil Spring for 15 years. SURVIVORS include 2 children, William (Frances) Sheffer of Muskegon, Marlene (Lyle) Wilks of Muskegon; 1 step-son, Rodney Beyer of Freesoil; 1 sister, Christine Mortensen; and 1 brother-in-law, William Clark both of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and step grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 1 brother. SERVICES will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2005 at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 12-1 PM. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made out to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
