Janice Louise Baker's Obituary
Janice L. Baker, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in Grandville, MI. She was born to Gladwin and Hope (Kirwin) Tracy on September 17, 1946, in Walkerville, MI. On June 22, 1979, she married the love of her life, Alan Baker, in Muskegon, MI. and spent 33 wonderful years together raising their family. Janice enjoyed traveling, going camping at Ponchos Pond with her sister, working on puzzles and word searches, and visiting casinos, but most of all loved her family and grandchildren and the time she spent with them. She is survived by her daughter: Kym (John) Cassidy; stepchildren: Jeff Baker, Brenda Avery; grandchildren: Cody Avery, Zachary Cassidy, Hope Cassidy, Mone Nicholls, Derek (Jennifer) Baker; a great grandchild on the way; sister Eula Brimmer; brother: Sam (Susan) Tracy, and many nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents: Gladwin and Hope Tracy; husband: Alan Baker; brother-in-law: Mel Brimmer. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Friday, June 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lee Chapel, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI. 49444 with a VISITATION 1 hour prior from Noon-1:00 PM.
