I just wanted to send my condolences to Janice's family. I never knew Janice but would walk my dogs by her house very frequently. I would see the Bitzer name and would see her head in the window while she sat in her recliner. I work with senior citizens and they are my favorite people. I always wished I could meet her and would wonder if she was okay. So sad to hear of her passing. I know I would have loved her. Just wanted to let you know that I cared even if I didn't know her. Rest in peace Janice...God bless you.

I am sending all of my prayers to all of Jans family. I first met Jan when I worked at Rafferty's and her and Tom would come into the restaurant, always wanting to sit in the bar area (comfy seats) and always asking for a cold pint glass for their tea. I also served them when i moved on to Sardine Room. Always a pleasant site. I got really sick in 2005 right before Jan went back to Florida and when she returned home in May she came in the Sardine Room and asked how I was doing or if she should ask, as I came out of the kitchen and saw her we both hugged and cried for about 10 minutes. She was more than a customer to me, but a friend. I saw her about a month ago at work when she came in for lunch and she told me she wasnt doing well. that hug she gave me that day will last me the rest of my life until I see her and Tom again! We have lost a beautiful person and have gained an incredible angel!! I will miss you terribly and always remember the wonderful person you are!! Love you Jan!! God Speed!!!

Sending you and your families my sincere sympathies upon learning of your mom's passing. My memories of your family take me back to my youth. Prior to your mom and dad's move to the neighborhood, it was in your swimming pool that I first learned to swim and later was your parents pool boy, paper boy and babysitter for the two of you when you were small. Your parents always made summertime at the pool special for my parents, my brother Bob and me as well as all the neighborhood kids.
While older than you guys, I had a great time watching you grow into young men and know how proud your parents were of you. I know you have and will forever share the great times you had with your mom and dad...cherish them always.

Dear Dan, Dick and extended families- Oh how my family loved your Mom and Dad and all of the swell times we shared at your home in the pool, many, many years ago. We did not see either of them for a long period of time, but still shared the same friendship when our paths did cross. I had a nice phone visit with your Mom shortly after your Dad passed away. We had planned on getting together. But you know how times flies! My thoughts and prayers are with both of you as you begin a period of healing, and fond memories.
