Janice Jane Casadonte's Obituary
Janice Jane Casadonte, loving wife and mother, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born November 5, 1942 in Muskegon to Raymond and Josephine (DePew) Jay and was a life resident. Janice was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. On October 7, 1967, she married Arthur J. Casadonte at St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church in Muskegon. Janice worked nearly 40 years at Comerica Bank and retired as assistant manager. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she would prepare dishes for the funeral luncheons. Janice was a long-time supporter of Muskegon Catholic Schools and the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Survivors include her husband, Art Casadonte; 1 son, Brett (Gilda Collins) Casadonte; 3 grandchildren, Dominic, Maximilian, Alexandria Casadonte; 3 sisters, Hazel (Craig) Johnson, Mary Jo (Bobby) Miller, Grace White; 1 brother-in-law, Anthony (Sherri) Casadonte, 1 sister-in-law, Rose (David) Sample; nephew and Godson, Bobby Pavlic; nieces, Vicki Pavlic, Brenda (Todd) Kempf, Jill (Chris) Lynn and their children, Abigail and Emma Lynn, Linda (Donald) Sample-Diffendal, and their children, Godson Eric and Theresa Diffendal; nephew, Jim (Jane DeBoer) Sample and their children, Bill and Melissa Sample, great niece Jessicca (Brian) Richard and their children Aeva and Celesta Richard; and Goddaughter, Jill Lynn. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew William David Sample. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with Rev. Fr. Charlie Hall presiding. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, 10-11AM Wednesday in Marian Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the “Completing the Vision” Building Campaign at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Arrangements handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
