Janice A. "Jan" Marsden's Obituary
Janice Ann “Jan” Marsden, age 77, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025. She was born February 15, 1948, in Niagara Falls, New York, to Chester and Irene (Nogacki) Cecot. Jan graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and attended Muskegon Community College. On July 18, 1975, she married James R. “Jim” Marsden in Muskegon and celebrated 50 years of marriage this past July. Jan worked 10 years for Sears in the customer service department. She was an avid reader and loved online shopping. SURVIVORS include her husband, Jim; sons, Marty Marsden and Eric (Brittany) Marsden; two brothers, Bob (Cathy) Cecot and Rick (Linda) Cecot; sister, Donna (Jim) Wilcox; mother-in-law, Virginia Marsden; in-laws, Duane Kooyers, Tom (Gina) Marsden, Lynn (Al) Vanderplow, and Cindy (Randy) Boyd; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Kooyers. According to Jan’s wishes, there will be no services.
