Don, Jan and I talked for quite awhile when i stopped by your home specifically to see her the last time - several years ago - i was in Spring Lake, visiting from Colorado, with some apologies from both of us, some shared memories of good times in the neighborhood and a nice exchange of information on both of our families...She was so proud of you, of all three of your children, happy with their successes and with her life..we parted with hugs of friendship and i regretted that we hadn't known each other as friends earlier...Please accept my condolences...I pray that good memories will bring you peace and comfort.....Katherine Reynolds, formerly Bitner

Jan was a very good lady. I remember so clearly how much she helped you when you were having your health problems.
Then the time we were at Rycenga Park trying to determine where to put the Rycenga plaque, and Jan came up with the best idea, the best location and the Rycenga Family was very thankful. By the way, this summer there will be a bench on each side of the plaque as attribute to Chuck and one other side Louis.
