Jarnail Singh Jhandi's Obituary
Jarnail Singh Jhandi, aged 74, peacefully left this world at his home in Norton Shores, MI, on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born in Punjab, India, on February 12, 1952, as the beloved son of Kartar Singh and Kartar Kaur, and he was the youngest of 10 siblings. Jarnail earned a master’s degree in economics and devoted 38 years to the education sector, ultimately serving as a school principal in India. On June 26, 1977, he married Balbir Kaur, and together they built a wonderful family over the span of 48 years. Jarnail had a deep love for gardening and treasured the time spent playing with and caring for his grandchildren: Desiree (22), Dilnaaz (12), Dilnoor (12), Isher (10), and Anoop (7).
Jarnail will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife, Balbir Kaur Jhandi; his son, Amanpreet Singh Jhandi (with Ramandeep Kaur Jhandi); his daughter, Parampreet Kaur (with Kanwaljit Singh); his grandchildren; as well as his sister, Gurdeep Kaur, and his family and friends.
A Visitation is planned from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442. Prayers will take place before the cremation at 1:00 PM.
