Jason R. Gonzales' Obituary
Jason R. Gonzales, age 49, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born December 1, 1973 in Muskegon, MI to Gale L. (Bellanger-Gonzales) MacBride and Jesus Gonzales and lived in the area most of his life. Jason was a hard worker and could do anything. He had a diverse background when it came to work. He had a good heart – often helping people in need. Jason was very creative and enjoyed the art of glass blowing and landscaping. He loved animals – wild and domestic – and was notorious for picking up strays and abandoned. He was most comfortable outdoors and especially loved to hike in the mountains or areas less traveled. Jason was very appreciative to the nurses and doctors who cared for him in his final days. Jason was very much loved by his family and friends. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Gale and James MacBride; his sister, Michelle Gonzales-Bultema; 2 nieces, Karly and Sophia; several close friends; and his companion canines, Buddy, Lilly and Six. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Gonzales. A Memorial Service will be planned for some time in 2023.
