Javonah Yvonne Dawson, age 16, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born April 8, 2006 in Muskegon, MI to Dahnontae Mckinley and Juavonna Martin. Javonah was currently a student at Kenowa Hills High School. She attended Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church and Kingdom Embassy Covenant Church. Survivors include her mother, Juavonna Martin; 6 brothers, Javunte Martin, Derrick Dawson Jr., Dahnontae Mckinley Jr., Daqwaun Mckinley, Elijah McGee, Isaiah McGee; 9 sisters, Breeona Lawson, Lucy Lawson, Jamoria Hill, Shanara Johnson, Cherish Martin, Zy’Niyah Dawson, Destiny Love, DaNasia Mckinley, Dakayla Mckinley; her maternal grandmother, Yvonne Joshway Gordon; her maternal grandfather, Ronald (Demetria) Bailey; her paternal grandmother, Linda Mimms; her paternal grandfather, Willie Newell; a very special person, Marie Wright; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dahnontae Mckinley; her brother, Daquires Love; and her bonus dad, Derrick Dawson, Sr. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Kingdom Embassy Covenant Church (3025 Glenside Blvd, Roosevelt Park) with Pastor Arthur Duren presiding.
