Mr. Jay A. Hazelwood's Obituary
Mr. Jay Allan Hazelwood, 64, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2016, in Muskegon. He was born April 4, 1952 to Whitt H. and Eva I. (Jozens) Hazelwood in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Jay was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked for Herman Miller for 17 years before retiring. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles, enjoyed camping and riding his Harley motorcycle. Jay is survived by his loving companion of more than 32 years, Dianna L. Broton; 2 children, Michelle (Greg) Ferrier and Jason Hazelwood; his brother, Jerry (Mary) Hazelwood; a half-brother, James Hazelwood and a half-sister, June Sandburg; 5 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Jay will also be dearly missed by the extended Broton family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Jean Budde. A family service to celebrate and remember Jay’s life will be held at a later date.
