Mr. Jay L. Meyers., age 82, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, October 4, 2003. He was born July 19, 1921 in Kalamazoo to James and Lelah (Young) Myers, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. He worked at S.D. Warren for 32 years before retiring, was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church. Mr. Meyers married his wife Jeanne (Semelbauer) on October 1, 1949 in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 2 children, Judy Salsbury of Muskegon, Jeffery (Tammy) Meyers of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren, Kirstin, Jay, Jorden, and Justin; 1 sister, Gerri Sheneman of Washington. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and 1 sister, Dorothy Sayer. PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES will be held. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
