I too am from Dr. Alkema's office. I want to thank you again for sharing your beautiful Jayleigh Nicole with us. When you were in our office a very special calm came with you. I will never forget the love you showed for her, and I hope I use what I have learned from you. We can't always understand why God lets things happen, but He does have a reason. I believe the reason Jayleigh lived so long was because she was teaching everyone she came in contact with. She was so blessed to have mommy and grandma like you two. Ashleigh - I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful babygirl. If you remember, I am the nurse from Children's Special Health Care who came out to your home in July. In the hundreds of visits that I've done, I've only cried twice leaving the homes; Jayleigh's was one of them. I was so touched by Jayleigh's story and at how well you cared for her. I'll never forget the way you fed her that popsicle while I was there! I know you must be so saddened during this hard time, but just know that both you and Jayleigh touched many lives by your positive attitude and strong bond. Ashleigh and Raymond,
I work at Dr. Alkema's office. I want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss of such a beautiful child. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I hope you have comfort in knowing that Jayleigh couldn't have had better parents than the two of you. You were both always so upbeat and positive with Jayleigh. I saw so much love and caring every time we saw you. You had her for such a short time, but you were blessed to have her, and she was truly blessed to have the two of you to be her parents! Ashleigh, please give my condolences to your mom as well, I could tell that she and Jayleigh had such a strong bond as well. Times like these are so hard, all that we can do is pray that God has a reason for everything and someday, you'll meet up with baby Jaleigh again.
