Jayne Elizabeth Reid's Obituary
Jayne Elizabeth Reid (Nelson), daughter of Iver and Esther (Skoglund) Nelson born January 20, 1923, passed away June 1, 2011. She loved life and always had a positive attitude. Anyone who knew her will remember something special about her. Jayne was very fortunate to be able to travel. Some of her best times were spending winters in Southern Florida at her sister Marcella’s Resort. She was a lifetime member of Samuel Lutheran Church, the Muskegon Recreational Club, Muskegon Vikings and Lakeside Eagles. She also volunteered at the Hackley Hospital Cherry Guild. She leaves behind many treasured, lifetime friends. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Nancy Gelderloos, Pamela (Robert) Ronning; 2 grandchildren, Deanna Gelderloos and Richard Gelderloos, Jr.; dear sister-in-law, Doris Terrien; 3 brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and good friend, Karen “Guppy” Borgeson. Jayne was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Reid and daughter, Deborah Reid; 3 sisters, Amy Kahn, Marcella Bowen, and Beverly Johnson; husband of 25 years, Budd Reid; and special friend, Curtis Caughey.
