Mrs. Jean Phyllis Hansen's Obituary
Jean Hansen passed into her pain free life early Saturday morning January 6, 2018, after struggling with cancer and dementia for almost two years at the age of 84. Jean was the daughter of Anton and Ann Lihan and was born and raised in Muskegon and spent most of her life here. Jean worked at Comerica Bank on Henry St. in the trust department for many years before retiring. Jean will forever be remembered for her quick wit and little one-liners, her love of flowers, especially roses and gardening, antiquing, camping, eating out and just going someplace. Many times not knowing where she was going; she just knew it was a ride and a lunch. This lady will truly be missed by many. She is survived by her niece, Judy (Mike) Stonex, Marcy (Tom) Achterhof and their children Ben, Eli and Hannah; brother, Bert (Diane) Lihan; nephew, Eric Stonex and cousins, Bruce (Cindy) Diebel and Pat Diebel. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hansen, in 1966 also preceding were her parents; brothers, Gilbert (Sonny) Lihan, David Lihan and sister, Sharon. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Jean will take place on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave. (231-726-5210) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson officiating.
