Mrs. Jean Ellen Kingshott's Obituary
Mrs. Jean Ellen Kingshott, age 82, passed away after a short illness Thursday evening, June 26, 2014. She was born March 17, 1932 in Muskegon to Joseph and Rhea (Bodenberg) Popelar. Mrs. Kingshott was the Director of Nursing at the Oceana Hospital, Lakeshore Community Hospital, McAuley Place, and Heartland Health Care-Knollview before retiring as a Nursing Supervisor at Hackley Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She loved life, spending time with family, and caring for others. On June 18, 1983 she married David Kingshott in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe V. Hall, Jr. on December 11, 2012. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Julie A. (Roger Posthumus) Champayne of Norton Shores, Thomas D. (Mary Jo) Kingshott of Grand Rapids, and Barbara A. (Gary) Cooper of New Orleans, LA; daughter-in-law, Carmela Hall of Santa Ana, CA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph J. (Helen) Popelar of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Shirley M. Kops of Jackson, MI, and Nancy L. O’Toole of Chelsea, MI. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Rev. Mark E. Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 4-7 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Community Health Project, 565 W.
