Jean Lee Livingston's Obituary
Jean Lee Livingston, age 82, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022. She was born to Donald and Ruth (Knight) Meredith on December 30, 1939 in Detroit, MI. Jean earned a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. On July 14, 1962, she married Fred Livingston in Kalamazoo, MI. Jean was a very proud homemaker and loved raising her family. When her kids were raised, she joined the workforce as an Occupational Therapist for Mercy Hospital for 12 years prior to retirement in 2003. Jean was proud to be reconnected with her faith family at Community United Methodist Church in North Muskegon, where she was a member for many years. She volunteered with the Greater Muskegon Service League, the Questers Antique Study Group and was an avid reader of books. Jean is survived by her sons, Scott, Don and Lance Livingston; a granddaughter, Amber (Matt) Kaludis; two nieces, Brooke and Amie; and a nephew, Jason; and her special dog, “Rusty”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her daughter-in-law, Laura Livingston; and her grandson, Alex. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. There will be desserts, coffee and fellowship, following the service in The Lee Family Center.
