Jean Ellen Sander's Obituary
Jean Ellen Sander, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born July 6, 1929 in Muskegon to Arthur and Veronica (Tureck) LeMieux and was a life resident. On October 14, 1950, she married Raymond Sander, Sr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1996. Jean worked over 20 years as a clerk for Meijer in Norton Shores and retired in 1988. Jean was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, but her family was her passion in life. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Sheri (Harvey) Anderson, Deborah (Richard) Bosma, Raymond (Penny) Sander, Jr., Daniel (Shelly) Sander, Joseph (Angela) Sander; 11 grandchildren, Denise (Dave) Pinkerton, Jeff (Angie) Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Casey (Kristin) Anderson, Meghan Bosma, Eric Sander, Lauren Sander, Matthew Sander, Aaron Sander, Jacob Sander, Anna Sander; 8 great-grandchildren, Jessica Pinkerton, Sarah Pinkerton, Jonathan Pinkerton, Elaina Anderson, Jason Anderson, Amalia Anderson, Elin Anderson, and Cora Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. INTERMENT will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be held 9:30-10:30 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
